"Anrion's right - eyes out for traps. Now, if we're all patched up and ready to go, then..." Silvan strode towards the ruin's stone door, and pushed a disc in its center. The disc spun 180 degrees before sinking deeper into the stone. With a dull rumble, the door slide open like the jaws of a great beast. Silvan stared down its throat, the immediate darkness too thick even for his elven eyes.

"Come on, you armored lot. I think you all would do much better descending first."

Anrion waited and took his place near the center of the group, after they entered, he'd split away and start hunting for the enemy remmnants. He gave the axe an experimental twirl as they descended into the darkness. He looked around concerned. Normally, there'd be ancient mana lamps illuminating the area, perhaps they were further in.

Richard walked to the campfire that was lighting the camp grabbing one of the firewood he walked to the ruins entrance. Using the lit firewood as a makeshift torched he take a step inside the ruins. Looking on both side of the walls to find any extinguished torches so that he could light it up instead of the small log. Either way he extend his arms outward into the darks ruins to slowly light the room up before turning his head back to the group awaiting them to give him the go signal.

Following his lead, she quickly fell in behind him. "Proceed. I'm right behind you." she added, adjusting her helmet as she entered the darkness. "I assume the archer will take up the rear?" She motioned to Anrion as she followed Richard.

Griswald listened closely as one of the men in the darkness whispered to another man and it traveled back through the men, careful enough that it wold not echo through the ruins that he heard feint footsteps Entering the front. The men readied themselves for the intruders. Griswald ready for the fight listened closely as he heard the whisper from the closest man.

As the party descended down the steps, the darkness was soon alleviated by a dim blue glow that permeated from nearby mounted Welknyd Stones. Silvan slowed his pace as the others continued, falling to the back. Any ambushes would be best thwarted by the warriors and knights. He was the least armored of the bunch, and felt stupid taking point.

He nodded to Morwenna as they entered, these kinds of ruins were not places he liked to be. They were usually filled with the undead, and other horrible abominations. The thing is with these Ayleid ruins was that you never know what was just behind the walls. And the odds were good, that the walls would slide open to show you. Anrion pulled his cloak a little tighter around him as if to ward off the chill of the long-dead halls.

He gave a nod to back to the group before facing the dark ruins. Moving the makeshift torch slowly left to right as he started walking. There was apparently seven bandits left so it wouldn't be to much of a trouble for the. He walked slowly as the last thing he wanted was a trap to spring up and catch him off guard. His other hand close to the warhammer handle ready to intercept any ambush.

As the group proceeded down into the ruins, the darkness opened into an opalescent chamber, filled with various welkyd stones that shone about. As they entered, there appeared to be a large pillar in the center of the room, and nestled within its grasp, a varla stone. Across from this was another hallway, blocked by and iron gate.

Before the group were two levers, one at the base of the pillar, and other beside the door opposite them. If one would look closely, there were three indentations of the same shape along each wall, a rectangular line surrounding them.

"This certainly doesn't bode well. I have a problem with puzzles." Morwenna muttered as she headed the party behind Richard. "Is there another path we missed?"

Salmystra walked in the corridor where the group was all looking at the puzzle. "if there was another path i most likely would have split from you all already and wondered that way," Chimed in salmystra as she walked up to the rectangles and gently brushed the center one with her hand. "Salmystra has seen no such markings before. Does anybody in the group recognize this?" Inquired the argonian.

"Don't look at me; I just work here." Silvan said, raising his hands in submission to the Argonian. "But come on, if some harebrained bandits can figure it out, we can too. Besides, puzzles just mean that whatever they're hiding is valuable - and that's what we're here for, right?"

Silvan walked deeper into the chamber, his form bathing in the azure glow of Welknyd stones. "But logic should reason that -this- lever will open -this- door!" Stopping at the far gate, he reached up to give the lever a strong pull.

Anrion took a quick sweep of the room. The gates to the next area were solid and as far as the naked eye could see, there was no other way forward. Still, in every few feet there were crenelations in the wall. The stone walls in them were comprised of three vertical rectangular stones that were notorious for sliding away. Sighing inwardly, he realized he had no way to check them.

Deciding to watch the party's back while they tinkered with the ancient mechanisms, Anrion positioned himself to the side of the doorway they just came through. If anyone came tgat way, he'd hear it.

Richard walked to the pillar where the other lever was stationed. He then looked at Silvan as he pulled the lever."careful, elf." Richard told Silvan as he himself got ready for some trap to spring on the poor elf.

As the trap was about to be pulled the argonian notices almost as an after thought that the bandit that was interrogated said seven. Only seven. Not seven bandits, not seven wolves, nor undead, nor traps. With this in mind salmystra shifted towards the end of the group and kept to the shadows. "ill keep to the rear." She stated unsure what exactly could happen. For all she new the cavern could fill with flames or gallons of gushing underground water to kill all but. Well the waterbreathing one.

As Silvan pulled the lever, it would lock into place. As the party expected the door to open, alas nothing happened. Soon the room began to rattle, shaking dust off of the walls as the hidden doors along the room exposed their contents.

"Watch yourselves!" Morwenna shouted, taking several steps forward, and going to pull the other lever in their vicinity. Drawing her sword with her other hand, she rested it on her shoulder, taking glances at each of these rooms. She sounds of bones crackling and a guttural groaning could be heard.

As the walls slid open, Silvan grinned. "Well, that works too. Just means more passages to--" The sound of creaking bones and labored breaths however wiped any glee from his face. Silvan kept his grip on the lever and tried to push it back up, only to find it locked steadily in place.

"Shit!" He hissed, jabbing the tip of his boot against a nearby wall. Silvan managed to wedge his foot into a hole of the decaying masonry and, continuing in this fashion, began haphazardly scaling the wall to get some distance from whatever the hell might come.

Richard looked at Morwenna who now was in front of him and has sge pulled the lever that he was inspecting. Hearing the creaking bones and the sudden opening of the hidden doors he drop the firewood to the ground and brandish his claymore. "Stay together, do not split." He spoke in a monotone as he wanted to keep the chit chatting to a minimal. He eyed the doors opening all at ounce awaiting god knows what.

Undead. The sound of them coming caused him to hiss under his breath. As the walls pulled themselves open, Anrion moved from the nearest one so that it's contents could not see him. He waited, axe in hand, for the room's contents to spill out so that he could ambish them.

Gillis watched in fascination as the others tinkered with the puzzle. He didnt feel like this was in his skillset so he decided to stand back and let them have at it. But when the walls started opened in he groaned annoyingly. This was exactly why he did not want to be an adventuer but to hell with that now. He moved himself closer to the others facing one the shaking walls and lifed his sword, preparing himself.

As the central lever was activated, the door near Silvan on the other side of the room opened. "Here's our chance, do we stay and fight or do we move ahead as quickly as we can?" she shouted, taking a few steps back to join the others.

From within the chambers emerged several enemies. The first, a group of skeletons, each brandishing its own weapons, a sword and shield, an archer with a bow, and a warhammer. Another, the closest to Silvan, a giant rat appeared, seemingly starving for blood as it squealed wildly. Several smaller ones followed, three to be accurate. And the last, two undead from opposite sides of the room, both disfigured beyond any real sort of recognition.

Quickly, the rat noticed Silvan before him and began a mad scramble at the base of the wall after him, whilst the others awaited their meal. The group of skeletons split ways, the Archer taking aim at Richard, while the Swordsman charged Morwenna and the Warhammer made its way to Salmystra.

Armless Undead made its way into Gillis' direction, stumbling rather slowly as it groaned loudly through the halls, every step leaving a fetid stench behind it. Whilst having only one arm, the other certainly made up as it's shape was far more grotesque than something possible in life, the hand resembling more of a claw than anything else. Zombie #2 moved its way into the picture as well, noticing Anrion in the back as an easy meal.

"Oh gods--" Silvan looked down at the giant rat and let out a cry. "WAAAUUUGGGHHH!"

He hated rats. A lot. Fear gripped at the elf's heart, and his palms began to sweat, making his ascension up the wall all the more difficult. But something needed to be done. Silvan felt an overwhelming sense of disgust well up in his gut. He'd have to touch it, wouldn't he? He shuddered, and turned to leap off the wall and latch onto the giant rat; wrapping his arms around its greasy neck.

Richard held tightly on his claymore, he needed to take down the archer before it took his whole group down. Planting his foot on the ground for a better explosive start he launched forward trying to bypass the two skeleton and directly toward the skeleton with the bow. He hoped to reach it before it would take a shot at him, his focus almost entirely on the archer, he would try to move aside from the arrow if the bow would be released.

Anrion peeled himself from the wall and decided to take the skeleton archer from behind. Throwing himself at it's bony back, he tried to use his axe to split it's skull, bring it down with the all of the wrath he could muster, trying to split it's exposed skull.
