Gillis saw the light. as he imagined the others did. But he was more concerned about the darkened areas around the light. God-Knows what was waiting for us. But the others seemed to eager so he kept his worries to himself and drew his blade.

The impatient argonian was in her zone. The shadows welcomed her as an extension of death's wings. She had a very elaborate quiver that was sectioned off for her various poisons. She had an arrow knotched in her bow and it was half drawn and ready for the evening's first blood. As the group surrounded the entrance to the ruins she noticed morwenna sword drawn and giving the visual countdown. 3...2...1..."mark" she whispered; And the blood shed began.

The campfire was surrounded by what seemed to be twelve soldiers, all in matching equipment. Despite the uniform armor, the group was composed of varying races. Wood Elves, Khajiit, Dark Elves, Orcs, Bretons, Redguards.

Twelve to the party's six.

Silvan signaled for Anrion to take care of the West-most outer guards. An Orc and a Redguard; armed with a greataxe and greatsword respectively, and a third Breton not far off with a mace.

"Alright, let's go. You armored lot aren't going to do much good skulking around, so the moment Anrion takes his shot, charge in. Cause a distraction for us less fortunate types to creep in. Sal-..Sam... Lizard-Lady. I'm calling you Sam from now on. Sam, you keep the armored lot covered with your bow." He said, before skirting the broken outer wall of the ruin. He wrung his hands together, creeping towards a nearby guard on the Eastern side of the camp. As soon as Anrion takes his shot...

Three guards on the Western side , Three on the East, and Six in the center surrounding the fire itself.

Re: Market District: The Merchants Inn

Post by Anrion on Fri Apr 10, 2015 4:00 am

Anrion took in the two guardians on the side. The Orc had his back to him, he couldn't hit his vitals so easily, the Redguard, however, was laizily reclining against a fallen brick. Opting to kill the pair as fast as he could, he decided to shoot the Redguard first. In one smooth motion he drew the bow, aimed and fired. The satisfying muted thwack of the bowstring sounded out to the nearby party as the arrow sped towards the unsuspecting warrior like a maddened hornet.

The poor Alik'r warrior never stood a chance, as he sat lazily, the arrow took him right through the throat, he crumpled without so much as a sound. Unfortunately, the Orc had not failed to notice his compatriot go down. Turning towards where the arrow had come from, he let out a fierce war cry, alerting the rest of the group. As he did, in the span of a few seconds, the second arrow was already mid-flight to intercept him.

Anrion frowned visibly as the second arrow had missed his intended target. He had meant to take the Orc in his neck as well to silence him, but he had moved faster than Anrion had planned for, the arrow had caught him in the chest. It had the same effect, but it was sloppy. He pulled another arrow from his quiver and looked for another target.

Spotting the Breton, he let out a little of his frustration by aiming at his vital organs. It wasn't enough to kill the fellow, but he didn't carry a shield and should have been punished for it. The Breton certainly would feel that if he preparation.

Post by Richard on Fri Apr 10, 2015 4:13 am

Richard gave out a small chuckle under his metallic helmet as he heard the Orc. He took a running stance his blade held with both hand ready for a long stab motion. The tip of his blade pointing towards the middle of the group.

As the body of the large orc fell to the ground making a “thump” noise he quickly charged in. Heading straight into the center where six of the 10 remaining bandits were located. His target was the largest of the group his eyes under the helmet stared directly at his prey. Hoping to get a clean and quick kill, when he got into striking range he pushed his blade forward in attempt to jab into the bandit’s chest and pierce straight through him. Fear is a large factor in combat and he wanted to impose this as fast as possible onto the poor group of bandits.

Following suit, Morwenna bursted in behind him, scanning the room for the layout of the enemy. As Richard began in combat with his foe, she ran to the other side of the fire in search for hers.

Noticing a Dark Elf, brooding in the corner, she took a few steps into his direction, bringing her sword down on the second closest enemy, aiming to slice him in half from the collarbone down. Letting out a roar as the blade descended to meet the dark flesh.

Gillis moved behind Richard and followed him into the center aiming to provide a helping hand to the mad warrior. As Richard went for the giant Orc, Gillis went for the smaller wood elf. He hoped to over power the elf for a quick kill and swung Deftly for his neck.

As a Dark Elf was trying to leave the chamber, no doubt to sound the alarm to whomever must be awaiting further in these ruins, an arrow quickly goes through his spine. The fetching protruding with a green stripe to indicate a lethal poisoned arrow from Salmystra's quiver. A second shot striking a female kajit in the throat. Anrion and Salmystra both bows drawn taking cover in the threshold.

The Redguard slumped against the brick he rest on, blood pooling into the dirt and grass beneath him. Anrion's arrow struck true.

The Orc took the arrow to the chest, but refused to fall. He bellowed, and slammed his forearm down onto the arrow's shaft; splintering it.

The Breton ducked down, two of the three arrows whizzed over him. The third planted itself firmly in his shoulder, where he howled in pain.

All of the commotion alerted the group at the center of the campfire. One bandit whirled around just in time to catch a blade to the gut courtesy of Richard.

Greatsword Bandit turned to meet Morwenna, raising his own greatsword to catch her's in mid-strike. He thrust his boot forward to catch the paladin in the gut.

Salmystra's arrow punctured the back of a fleeing enemy, and he sank to the ground; crawling forward still.

The Elven bandit under Gillis's assault ducked to try and avoid the attack, but only managed to catch the blade's edge against the top of his skull; cleaving a triangular piece of bone free that send blood-covered greymatter flying towards the campfire.

The Breton, despite his injury, charged towards the middle group and brought his mace down towards the back of Gillis's head with his good arm.

The Dark Elf Morwenna eyed earlier charged forward, brandishing two wicked and curved daggers. Charging Richard while his blade was still buried in the other bandit's chest, the Dark Elf drove both blades up towards each of Richard's armpits - One of armor's many weak points.

The Orc ran forward to sweep out Morwenna's legs with his battleaxe.

A Khajiit Archer pulled back on his bow and fired up at Anrion.

Silvan turned the corner of the wall he was hiding behind and threw his arms around a Imperial Bandit's neck, placing him in a headlock. With his other hand, he pulled out his hand crossbow and fired it at another nearby archer.

The Nearby Archer was in mid-draw, aiming at Salmystra, when the crossbow's short bolt entered the side of his head.

The Imperial Bandit bucked back, and knocked Silvan to the ground, spinning around to slash out one of the elf's calves. "It's him!" The Imperial shouted, as his blade struck the dirt. Silvan was scampering away on all fours to get distance!

A Nord Berserker with two hand-axes charged Salmystra and slashed viciously out at the argonian.

Anrion cursed aloud as some of his targets escaped a moderately quick death. As he turned, bow in hand, an arrow shot past his head. Taking note of who that arrow came from, he turned back towards his last target, the Breton. Anrion drew back his longbow and sent another arrow flying towards the exposed back of the mace-wielding human.

Griswald heard the noise from outside the ruins. He quickly got up and grabbed his staff. He quickly rushed to the front of the entrance. His eyes adjusted to the night time sky, and he saw the skirmish going on in front of him. He quickly turn his head and bellowed back into the cave "Alrighty boys looks like we have a bit of fun outside, ready yourselfs!". With that he quickly turned and rushed back into the cave, chanting some words under his breath, as he moved past his colleagues.

Richard eye turned to the dark elf now charging at him. With one hand he held the blade still pierced into the mans chest while the other went to grab for his warhammer which was located on the other side of the belt. Drawing the hammer from it's idle location he used to momentum from the draw to send a upward swing at the dark elf face in the chin/cheeks general location in attempt the his charge with one powerful swing and in the process hoping break the dark skinned face. He had not seen the assailant of gilis and thus could not warn the man from the incoming attack.

Taking a step back from the bandit whom her blade clashed with as his foot raised to knock the wind out of her, she was unaware of the axe heading for her legs and it caught her in the calves, throwing her off the ground and onto the floor. Hitting the ground hard, but not far, her daze quickly subsided and she twirled the greatsword around her form in an attempt to fell or at least harm the two.

Gillis turned from the downed bandit just in time to see a mace being raised in front of him. He raised his shield frantically and tried to take a step back. He was to slow and mace caught him good in the shoulder of his sword hand, right above his collarbone. He gritted in pain and attempted to bash the bastard with his shield before more damage was done. He then conjured a fire ball and aimed it at the bandit

Salmystra was caught off guard surprised that an enemy made it's way past all of our armored group strait for her. Prob a racist lil prick. She dodged his swings but one of them cliped the string if her bow and broke the string. She then threw the bow to the side and drew her daggers ready for the fight. Little did the bird know that her daggers were already poisoned with a hallucinogenic poison that deteriorates one's combat ability. She rolled backwards and got into stance.

An iron arrowhead poked through the front of The Breton's chest as Anrion's arrow struck true. He groaned, falling to a knee after delivering his attack on Gillis, only for his face to be bathed in flame. He screamed, and the silhouette of his face deformed beneath the fires that engulfed him. He writhed on the ground, but the arrows jutting out of his person limited his dying movements. Finally, the screaming stopped, and his corpse smoldered; glowing orange like the nearby campfire.

The Dark Elf bent backwards in an impressive display of flexibility, narrowly avoiding the swinging warhammer. But instead of replying with his daggers, he thrust his arm out to send a bolt of lightning arcing towards Richard's chest. "Ha!"

The Greatsword Bandit cautiously stepped back from the sword-twirling Morwenna, avoiding the blade's sting. Deciding to use distance to his advantage, the bandit raised his great blade and slammed its tip down towards Morwenna's face.

The Orc, however, was not so lucky. Hoping to get a free attack in while the paladin was down, the tip of the large sword bit into his abdomen and sliced cleanly across his belly. "Hurgh--" A dull pain was all he was granted before gravity ushered his innards out of his green skin and onto the grass below. He spent a moment cradling them, trying vainly to keep his internals internal, before shock sent him collapsing onto the ground.

"GET HIM!" The Imperial barked. Silvan hopped to his feet and whipped his hand out to hurl a plume of dirt into his adversary's eyes. The bandit howled in surprise, and the thuggish elf was upon him. Wrapping both arms around the Imperial's neck, Silvan squeezed and twisted. A struggle ensued, and the bandit slashed wildly; clipping the adventurer more than a couple times across the arms, legs, and back. Blood dripped onto the both of them until there was a snap and the Imperial sunk to the ground exhaling a rattling breath.

The Khajiit looked both ways, taking note of the slaughter occurring around her. "No! Not like this!" She hissed and fired one last poorly-aimed arrow towards Anrion's person before turning to flee Northward. Whatever reason she was there for, it didn't seem to be worth death.

The Nord was unrelenting in his assault. Howling madly, saliva flung in all directions as his axes sliced through the air; encroaching upon Salmystra like a well-oiled death machine. A human woodchipper. As a surprising Ace-in-the-Hole, however, the bandit suddenly threw one of his axes at the Argionian's torso before closing in to tackle her!

Griswold grew with impatience and talked with his fellow bandits, readying them for battle once the band of misfits entered the ruins. "We will not let down the owner. This contract will be pursued and we will get the money we are looking for. With some of us dead, expect more in our payroll!" Griswald stamped his staff on the ground to help pump up his fellow bandits.

Anrion decided it was high time to join the attackers on the ground. Replacing his bow, he stood atop the pale tower of rock and decided it would be best to try and jump to a nearby lower stone. As he readied himself though, the Feline archer's arrow came slamming into his left upper arm. "Urk!" He let a grunt escape him as he immediately crouched down.

Fortunately, the arrow itself didn't look like it had hit something vital, still, he doubted that he'd be able to keep shooting. Cursing his own neigligence, he dropped off of the opposite side of where he was perched and rolled to dissipate the impact. Pressing his back against the cool stone, he drew a simple war axe and stepped out.

Richard was hit directly to the chest, the bolt flow through his body as his back arched from the lightning . This wasn't the first time he was attacked by a user of the art of lightning. He now had time to withdraw the blade from the dead corpse. As the blade was the only thing that held the blood from the body from gushing at when it was withdrawn from the body blood oozed out the blade was crimson red.

He didn't make any grunt or yell he simply stared at the dark elf under his helmet. Maybe in attempt to impose fear into the elf?  He charge forward, lifting his blade with his right hand into the sky ,droplet of blood continuously fell from the blade, and slammed it down onto the dark elf skull attempting to  crack his skull open and kill the dark elf in the process. His other hand still holding the Warhammer ready to follow up on his attack.

Gillis was a little more then shocked at the violent death of the bandit and just watched as he screamed. When the bandit seemed content with shutting its trap and dying, Gillis rushed towards the elf who was currently sprawled on the grass in attempt to provide some help. He saw the bandit raise his sword and made it just in time to stab at the back of the his right knee, hoping he'd buckle under the weight of his own weapon.

As the orc held on for dear life as it faded away, she tried to regain her footing before the other returned. As she rose her head, he began to raise his sword into a thrusting pose. Quickly, she pushed off of the ground, attempting to deflect his attack with her bracer and take him out at the knees with a clothesline.

The Greatsword Bandit was parried by Morwenna, only to feel a sharp pain shoot through his leg as Gillis's steel sank into the back of his knee. Finally Morwenna's clothesline took the bandit to the ground with a howl - knocking his large weapon far out of his hands. "Wait wait wait! Don't kill me!" He plead, raising his hands up to shield his face.

The Khajiit glanced over her shoulder to see Silvan charging after her. "Stay back!" She hissed in surprise before the elf tackled her to the ground. Silvan flipped the Khajiit onto her back before delivering a swift jab of a his fist to her throat - crushing the poor thing's wind-pipe.

The Dark Elf raised his dagger above his head to try and parry Richard's incoming blow. But in reality, his mere dagger was no match for the sheer force behind the warrior's blow. The dagger was knocked aside, and Richard's steel sliced through the Dark Elf's forearm, and hacked into his mouth. The bandit's hand fell to the ground, and his jaw split into two before he crumpled to the ground in a daze - too far in shock to cry out.

The Nord slammed directly into Salmystra's blade, but it didn't seem to deter the berserker. His face grew red hot with contempt, and he roared; flinging saliva into the air. Rather than use his axe, the bandit reached to grab the Argonian's dagger wrist with his free hand before whipping his head back - tearing the dagger free with a spurt of a subclavian arterial blood. His body quickly becoming awash with red, the Nord snapped his head forward in one quick movement to headbutt Salmystra in the face before collapsing to a puddle of his own life source.

Anrion regrouped with the others. Axe in hand, he surveyed the aftermath of the skirmish. In spite of himself he was pleased that their ambush had ended as well as it had, they'd either killed or incapacitated twice their number in bandits. He did frown however when he realized that any combatants directly inside the ruin had likely heard the battle. He'd have to be wary of an ambush.

Spotting the head of the expedition, Anrion moved to join him. As he did, he broke the end off of the arrow in his arm to keep it out of his way. "What of their survivors?" He questioned as he gave the weapon in his hand an experimental swing.
