I chucked at the bowman as I stood from the table and placed my helm beneath my arm. "I've never heard of that but it seems worth a try."

He raised a brow and glanced over toward Anrion, does this man not know how plate armor were made. “I do not think that is a wise idea.” He wanted to keep it short and simple as he did not have the energy to explain how tedious it would be stuff cloths in between each armor pieces and how it would greatly impair there movement. He awaited the rest of the group to get ready before standing up from his chair.

"Shall we then?" She stood as well, readjusting her armor and replacing the seat into its original position. As the others gathered their belongings and such, she moved to the entrance.

"Sounds like a fun time" purred the bloodlusting Argonian as she started to dab poison on her arrowheads that were intriquately carved from her previous kills.

"Yes, we'll wait until nightfall, then." Silvan said, pushing himself out of his seat. "I suggest you lot get some rest now. I wouldn't advise you be too drowsy while we're out, or you might catch an arrow where the sun don't shine."

He gave Morwenna a slap on the pauldron as he walked by - having to reach over his head to do so, due to his short stature. The knocking of his boots against the steps echoed throughout the pristine tavern; reverberating loudly, then softly as he disappeared into the establishment's upper floor.

"Mn" Anrion headed back to the bar to negotiate a nook to nap in, ordinarily he'd have slept outside, but for the sake of his new companions finding him, or to make sure he left with them, he'd settle for a spot in the inn. After a quick word and septims exchanging hands he had a comfy nook to retreat to.

Richard gave a quick nod before standing up. Heading toward the innkeeper he open his purse counting the amount of coins he will be needing to stay. After a couple seconds he too had a room to rest in before their adventure begins.

Shifting from the doorway, she settled into one of the chairs towards the end of the room. She enjoyed sitting rather than laying anyways, lest bring back awful memories. Removing her helmet she crossed her arms and lowered her head in the darkness.

Having not enough funds for food and definitely not enough for a roon, all Gillis could do was sit back down and hope the inkeeper would not bother him if he rested his head a top of his helm. He placed his right hand on the hilt of his sword, knowing all to well what can happen to a man as he sleeps.

The Argonian was pleased. She was going to spill blood that night and the bloodlust left her wanting. She Exited the bar throwing a small purse to the barkeep for the drink. "See you lot at sundown, don't worry ill find you." she said as she exited into the grace of the imperial city at first's light.

Post by Silvan Oakhollow Wed Apr 08, 2015 4:33 am

The day went on. Men and women of all kinds came and went through the inn, coming for information, meeting up with colleagues, or perhaps just there for a drink. After a long day, the sun finally began to sink behind the pristine alabaster buildings of the Imperial City, burning the sky orange and yellow before disappearing beyond the horizon only to leave the white-hot stars blazing overhead.

Silvan hurried down the stairs, a crossbow slung over his shoulder by a tattered strap of leather. The weapon was small, even compared to the tiny Elf, but it was unmistakably well-made.

He hurried towards the door and peeked out one of the nearby windows, his breath fogging the glass. He could feel the innkeeper cringe was across the room.

"Hey, wake up." Silvan said, pacing over towards the center-most table to drum an isolated knuckle against its surface. "Gillis, was it? Rise and shine, it's almost time to go."

As the elf called to Gillis, Anrion pulled himself up from his nook. He popped a few joints and strode over to where the two had started to gather, his leather boots making a soft thud against the floor. He yawned once and shook the sleep from himself.

Richard strode down the staircase down to the inn. Like always he wore his full iron suite, after every step clanking would be heard from his plates hitting one another. His Claymore blade rested on his shoulder pad while the handle was held by his right hand. His helmet visor glanced towards the group now being formed staring directly at the elf. He walked to the grouped silently awaiting for the rest to come.

As the group gathered, Morwenna rose from her seat as well. Giving a her arms a slight stretch she scooped her helm and placed it under her arm. "Very well then. Everyone accounted for?" she added, giving the elf a curt nod as she placed her helmet on. This might not be the crowd she'd normally deal with, but she'd been ready and waiting for a battle for quite some time. For the good of all living things right? Eh what the hell, the thrill drove her more than anything.

Gillis was startled by He planted his feet firmly and bolted up right., trying to remember where he was and whether or not to draw his. He looked into the elfs eyes then quickly away. "Yes...." He managed. "This is the name". He tried a smile but was only able to give a mixed expression, half of his lips in a scowl and his eyebrows raised with wide eyes. He stood and tried to stretch out the sleep but not the easiest to do in heavy armor. He watched as the others of the makeshift crew came to the table where he and the elf stood, picked up his helm and was ready for the night

"Yes, we seem to have everybody." Silvan said, tugging on the strap securing his crossbow. "Then let's not waste any time. The sooner we leave, the sooner we can get back and distribute the treasures!" With a puff of his chest, the elf pressed the front of his fist into his jaw - cracking the knuckles. "Oh, and I'd advise that you rich people - I'm looking at you armored folk - keep your horses stabled. It's not far, and you'll only risk its life by bringing it into bandit territory."

Silvan strode forward, pushing the tavern door open with a creak. A plume of cold, fresh air burst into the inn; breathing life into its day-long stagnance. The sounds of city-life had died down as the number of citizens roaming the streets slimmed, and all clamor was replaced by a cacophony of crickets chirping and gusts of wind cutting through the Athenian-esque structures.

The party marched West until finally reaching the city gate, where the minimal traffic and unsavory hour earned a blind-eye from the Imperial Watch. Guards grunted in acknowledgement as the group passed by and proceeded towards the city's bridge. Crossing the architectural wonder, Silvan directed the part North once past Weye, and they continued on their journey along the road.

"Quite the sight, eh?" Silvan said with a jab of his finger into the air, breaking the silence. The night sky overhead was peppered with burning stars that shone through the nebulous indigo clouds blooming and flourishing in all directions. Their opaque nature all but shrouded the intimidating celestial bodies above.

"Not a bad night to be out and about, I would think. But once we get near our site, try to keep your eyes forward. I'd hate for one of you to catch an arrow to the throat!" Silvan said with a chuckle, lightly nudging the towering Paladin with his elbow.

Anrion nodded as he trod along after the elf. After leaving the city limits, he pulled his hood up over his head, partly to keep himself warm, and partly to obscure his face. Satisfied that he would have an irregular shape, he was confident in his ability to hide and pick off enemies in the confusion.

Pulling his bow from where it was slung across his back he came into stride with the party leader and decided to start talking tactics. "Are we expecting this to be a fight outside, or are we looking at token guards and then a skeever hunt?" He tested his bowstring, letting the tension out of it slowly.

Richard Followed the group of adventurer, he would remain slightly behind of the group checking there six. He preferred to remain in silent until someone would pop a conversation with him. Remaining alert with his claymore in hands.

Heading the group with Silvan, she'd prefer to keep her distance from the rest and focus on the task. As much as she enjoyed walking in full suit, crossing any distance without her steed bothered her.

Nevertheless she continued, taking a few glances here and there over her shoulder now and then at the others. As they continued, a nudge from the elf gathered her attention. "You're worried about me? I'm hardly the one you should have that mind about."

Drawing her claymore, she ran a hand over the flat of the blade, inspecting it in the starlight for a moment, before sheathing it once more as they neared their destination.

Gillis kept his mouth shut and his mind clear as they moved. He didn't want to be distracted before a possible battle. But, he thought as he glanced about the team, even if there was a battle, it wouldn't be much of a fight. More likely a slaughter. He looked to the sky and couldn't help but feel encouraged. The elf was right, what a sight it was.

Salmystra was sitting behind a rock a few hundred meters before their destination and was clad in a multitude of blades and various other items. Something that looked to be a recurve bow with adornments and a quiver with many different colored fletchings. She was seated with the biggest reptilian grin anyone could imagine and proceeded to speak to the group. "what took ya? These bandits have already changed guards 3 times."

Silvan glanced over to Anrion and shrugged, gesturing with his hand. "Eehh, a bit of both. The treasure certainly won't be lying out in the open, so we'll have to do a bit of ruin-crawling. And I'm sure the others will have the same mind-set. So, yes, expect a bit of an interior struggle. But that said, I'm sure there will be a few outside as well. Just uh... Stab and shoot at things that look angry - The petulant warrior being the exception." He whispered, jabbing a thumb over his shoulder at the far-off Richard.

Satisfied with his own explanation, Silvan turned his attention back to Morwenna and grinned. He was missing a tooth or two. "I suppose you're right. You look more than capable of handling yourself. But don't hesitate to ask for help - I'd hate to see a pretty lass like yourself die to arrogance."

Shortly after an hour of travelling on foot, the party encroached upon a relatively small collection of ruined structures. Their once-polished white surfaces were tarnished with dirt and erosion, and any remaining beauty was suffocated by the smothering grip of vines and moss. An orange glow boasted from beyond a few walls, its intensity pulsating with each heartbeat. A campfire, one would guess.

Before the Argonian's jaws opened, Silvan's hand-crossbow was removed from his back and trained onto the lizard's skull. After a moment of consideration, he let out a breath. "Oh, and here I thought maybe the guards back in the Imperial City arrested you for indecent exposure or something." He lowered the crossbow, and shrugged. "That or voyeurism. Come on, time to stop spying and time to get to work. You ladies and gentlemen ready?" He asked, extending his limbs to stretch them.

Anrion split from the group and found himself looking at the polished alabaster stones tgat made up the ruin. Shrugging a little to himself he replaced his weapon and began to use the wear that time had put on the stones to hoist himself up a crumbling square monolith. He settled at the top in his vantage point confident that noone could see him. His eyes took in the ruin'e entrance and the guards posted there.

Before he settled in, he stealthily unsheathed his weapon, a reliable-looking longbow. Pulling two arrows from his quiver he set one comfortably on his bowstring, ready to fire, the other he set between his teeth to get a second shot off faster. Satisfied that he'd down one or two people quickly, he nodded down to the group, re-positioned himself and waited.

Richard followed the group until they arrived to destiny. "Finally..." He whispered to himself as he looked at his comrade who were preparing for battle. While the group prepared for battle he walked towards the front of the squad next to the elf. His left hand moved onto flat end of the blade near the hilt before sliding down his fingers downward.

On the front line was where he belonged, he tightly grabbed his two-handed blade with both hands awaiting the signal. He gave no nod or any sign he was ready, Richard just stood there stoically awaiting for the signal. For a few seconds he stared toward the imminent battle which contained a fiery orange glow before turning his head the elf. Looking down on the elf, shadow covered where the visor would show his eyes. Though somehow if the elf would manage to focus into the visors hole the eyes of sane man could be seen. Focus they were and ready to fight, no anger or any other emotion of hate could be seen. He then gave the little man a small nod after a long 10-15 second of stare before turning his head back to the battle ground. He remained statue like not moving an inch until the battle erupted.

As the others prepared, Morwenna drew her blade, resting it over her shoulder as she moved to a position opposite the entrance. Crouching, she entered into a almost tiger stance as she readied for the signal. "On your mark." she replied, her free hand tensing momentarily.

If the archer wasn't a bad shot, she could easily march right into the fray, lets hope her gut was right. It didn't seem like there would be that much of a force to reckon with as she surveyed the area. Within is where the lot of them would lay, near the fire she hoped...easier pickings for sure. But where was the fun in that?
